The new building houses new gate-rooms for passengers and is linked by air-bridges to five new aircraft stands. It has a new baggage system allowing bags to be processed faster and enabling airlines to offer automated fast-bag drops. The project improves passenger circulation in the airport. At a total cost of €105 million (£ 85,5 million), the construction programme started in December 2012 and continued through to December 2016.
